How big is a track field?

ok, so i am in varsity track and field. my school doesn’t have a track so we have to go to University of Tampa’s track to practice. Does anybody know how big a track field is? And is a college track bigger than a high school track? greatly appreciate it!

How many times do you have to circle a track field to make a mile?

I am trying to lose weight and I want to be able to walk up to 4 miles per day. It less expensive for me to walk outside than to join a gym. I decided that walking at a track field is good idea but I wanted to know how many times do I have to go around to make a mile. Please Help.
