Staying positive can be hard at times, even more so if you are feeling lonely. But being alone can be great time for figuring out what you would like to do. It is the perfect time for investing in your own self fulfillment.

One thing that has been found to be great for improving the mood is exercise. There are many workout goals you may have such as losing weight, gaining muscle or being more flexible. No matter what yours are, you can benefit from having a personal trainer.

Trainers keep you working out no matter how much you want to quit. The appointments also make you have to get up and out of the house. They are great for getting you going each morning. You also have the opportunity to meet new people who are interested in at least one thing you are interested in.

What other interests do you have that have not been making time for? Once you start thinking about it, you probably have a whole list of things you have been putting off. Now is your chance to make your way down that list and start checking things off.

Go to a bookstore and buy a new gardening book if that is something you have always wanted to learn more about. Even if you are already a gardener, there is sure to be more to learn. You can always get a book on a type of gardening you have never done before.

You could try growing something that is more of a specialty such as herbs. There is a whole category of medicinal herbs that you can learn to grow, along with learning how they are used. Or you can try cooking herbs that you can actually use in your kitchen. These will add a flavor you just cannot get from a jar.

It can be very enjoyable to cook a special meal, especially when you have company. If culinary arts are of interest, why not invest in private cooking classes? These allow you to learn exactly what you want to learn and at your own speed. You might want to focus on tasty but healthy meals so they fit in with your exercising.

Once you have gotten your menu down, you can ask your friends from the gym to your house for dinner. After your entertaining is over for the evening, you may find you have forgotten about the time you were down that got you started on this path. The main thing that will have changed after all of that is your attitude.

You will be familiar with the phrase that “You are what you eat”, and most people would agree with that. It is quite clear, and has been scientifically proven, that if you eat poor food, then your body will suffer as a result.

An experiment was undertaken recently, by the HeartMath Institute, that looked at how DNA responded to having feelings of anger, stress, love and peace directed it. The results make for interesting reading.

When feelings of anger or stress were directed at the DNA, the DNA tightened and emitted photons of light. When feelings of love or peace were directed at the DNA, the DNA opened or unwound and attracted light to it.

The results of the experiment show that how you feel effects the life and energy that surrounds you. By being more positive and relaxed, the more open and responsive those surrounding you will be.

In practical terms, this means that you should set about your daily routine with a can-do attitude and smile on your face as, by doing so, your chances of a successful day will be increased. Essentially, you get what you give, so if you want a positive day, then you have to begin it with positive feelings.
